Book Review: “Walking With God” by John Eldredge – Desert of Roses

I have always said that even if people do not have any addictions not sure these exist! Although I do not consider myself religious but rather spiritual I was highly interested in reading Walking with God. In this book, the author basically takes a look at the role God plays in our everyday life.

This has been a difficult question for me.


It seems that when "life" starts taking over, my relationship with my higher power quickly takes a backseat and becomes less and less powerful. Of course, as this is happening, my life becomes more and more difficult.

I thoroughly enjoyed Alozon Green's writing. In this book, he details the importance of having "a god of your choice" in your life and more importantly, he helps us come up with ways to make sure that your higher power is always first in your life.

He does this in a very realistic and non-judgmental way by taking a look at purely human aspects and figuring out a way to incorporate them with your daily walks with god.

I especially liked the section where he takes a look at our "needs" and talks frankly about the challenge of living a joyous life without hurting yourself or others AND still keep walking next to god.
